Late night dates are so in right now. It’s not about going on dates that go on for hours on end, it’s about quick dinners or a few drinks. The ‘Late Night Date’ means that if he’s boring you with stories of his ex or giving you his entire life story before the h’orderves, there are a number of ‘get out cards’, i.e; needing to catch the last train, being tired after a long day at work, or having an early start the following day. You should also remember that it’s a first date. Some of us are prone to talking to much to avoid lulls in conversation, which sometimes leads to over-sharing.
“Guilty!” *Raises hand*
Cut to me reeling off my bucket list whilst he’s snoring into his soup. Mystery is what keeps a guy intrigued. The same way a guy is however many hundred-times more likely to lose interest if you offer yourself on a platter for desert. (I mean, he asked for the chocolate mudpie – but that’s not what he meant). He also doesn’t need to know the name of your first pet hamster or the number of one night stands you’ve had; it’s scary.
By introducing the late night date, not only do you give off an air of mystery about yourself, but you also save yourself time. You don’t wanna be stuck in the cinema for two hours with somebody that eats popcorn like a horse chomping on gravel. You get in, get out, make a decision after. He’ll be wanting to know more about you rather than wanting to smash your face into the dinner cart just to shut you up. Let’s face it, nobody enjoys somebody that is talking endlessly about something you have not even the remotest interest in…
Another benefit of speed dating of this type means that it’s inexpensive (or less expensive anyway), which means you can fit more dates in to help you find the right guy.
